The century old barn has been in my family for over 40 years, and was used primarily as a hay barn during that time. We have been in the process of renovating the barn for over a year, carefully preserving it’s heritage while making it a comfortable and even more aesthetically pleasing venue for special occasions.
This impressive work of art was created by Kendra Aldrich, a family friend and rising star in the Pacific Northwest arts community. She specializes in faces and expression, and when I requested an “artists rendition” of Tin Roof Barn, she was a bit skeptical of how she would capture the magic of a Pacific Northwest barn wedding venue without having been to one herself…or even having a completed project that she could see pictures of! I could understand her trepidation…but had complete faith in her talent. I sent her pictures of the old place and described how the landscaping will look when the barns facelift was complete. She captured the light and warmth of the barn just as I knew she would. Her skill and dedication to her trade are prevalent in every painting she does – see more of her amazing work here.
